CHAPTER 5

Sandy took the roses and note into the apartment and sat down on the couch with a thud. "Could this be for real?" she thought to herself. She felt like she was in one of her dreams. If this was a joke someone was surely going to alot of trouble. She put her hand to her heart and felt it beating beneath her fleshy breast.

Placing the rose and note on the coffee table next to the ones from yesterday, she sat back and just blinked. She really wasn't sure what she was thinking at this point. Sighing, Sandy got up and decided to go to bed. What else could she do. She'd wait and see what happened tomorrow.

Next morning came quickly. Sandy woke with a tremendous headache and groaned. She opened her eyes and closed them quickly, "man, it's bright!" she thought and then sighed, "oh no, not today, I don't need a migraine today." But she knew there wasn't much she could do but take some pills and let it take its course.
