Tamela & Tyler Dynamite on the Bigscreen
Tyler Perry’s latest movie Meet The Browns, which opened on March 21, 2008 , features the voluptuous Tamela Mann. Mrs. Mann plays alongside a cast of known actors and actresses, including Angela Bassett (Waiting to Exhale), Margaret Avery (The Color Purple), Tyler Perry (Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Madea’s Family Reunion) and starring David Mann (Tamela Mann’s husband) as Mr. Brown, Madea’s neighbor and the husband of Medea’s child, Cora (Tamela Mann).
Tamela Mann was born in Fort Worth , TX , the youngest of 14 children. By the age of 8, Tamela began mimicking the musical talents of her mother, and by age 12, was advanced to her church’s adult choir. Tamela also performed with Grammy Award winning Kirk Franklin and Family, whose debut album was the first gospel album to go platinum. Tamela Mann has made a name for the church-going but giggly Cora Brown, having been in each screenplay, movie, and television show written by Tyler Perry, including Diary of a Mad Black Woman, I Can Do Bad All By Myself and House of Payne. Mrs. Mann is also an accomplished solo gospel musician, with an album The Live Experience for sale now. Tamela Mann’s website is http://www.tamelamann.com.
“Based on the popular stage production of the same name, TYLER PERRY’S MEET THE BROWNS is a charming story about the joys of family, and the possibility of second chances. TYLER PERRY’S MEET THE BROWNS was produced, written and directed by Tyler Perry, and produced by Reuben Cannon.”- Courtesy of Lionsgate Entertainment.

Plus Sized Women Can Sport Their Favorite Player
Lane Bryant is expanding their clothing sales to show off a sportier side of plus-sized apparel in an initial opening of four new stores around the country.
The women's clothing chain Lane Bryant is opening of a number of Kobe Bryant Stores. These retail stops will let fans of Kobe Bryant show off their love of number twenty-four in a variety of apparel items.
In research, Lane Bryant found that there are millions of plus-sized women who are also major sports fans. They also believe a number of those larger sports fans comprise a good chunk of the fan base for Bryant. With that reasoning, they also believe a number of those sporty ladies would love to be able to show off their adoration of '24'. So, they are making a clothing line that will let those fans have just what they want.
The offerings in the stores will include a wide variety of clothing from sweat suits to dresses that feature Kobe.
One of the items that will be featured is a piece you may have seen on Mariah Carey when she was in attendance at the 2003 All-Star Game. There were plenty of pictures taken of her in a jersey dress, or muumuu with Michael Jordan's number on it. The Kobe Bryant store will offer the same type of dress, but featuring Bryant instead of Jordan.
In deciding where to place the stores, the Lane Bryant researchers found out where Kobe Bryant's fans are. They then chose to locate the store in those cities. The first of the stores are opening in Los Angeles, Houston, Phoenix and Philadelphia. The hope is that things will go well and they will be able to expand to other large cities across the country in the seasons to come.
