When I Think Of You...
When I think of you, Mum,
I think of love … huge, heart bursting, unconditional love –
For you and from you.
When I think of you, Mum,
I think of gentleness – in your tone, in your hands,
In your heart.
When I think of you, Mum,
I think of support – emotional when I’m down,
Physical when I’m ill.
When I think of you, Mum,
I think of glue – that which holds the family
Together.
When I think of you, Mum,
Which I do often, I think of words like special, caring,
patience, friend and pride to name but a few.
But there are two words that sum it all up
When I think of you,
“My Mum”
