SEPTEMBER'S RECIPES

September's recipes are chock-ful of good fruits and anti-oxidants that are good for our joints!!

Cottage Cheese Apple Dippers
Ingredients

1 cup Cottage Cheese
2 Tbsp. raisins
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 apples, sliced

Directions

MIX cottage cheese, raisins and cinnamon.
SERVE as a dip with the apple slices.


Duchess Fruit Salad
Ingredients

1 cup miniature marshmallows
1 large banana, sliced
2 medium fresh peaches, peeled, sliced
1 cup medium strawberries, sliced
1 cup sour cream

Directions

MIX all ingredients until well blended; cover.
REFRIGERATE until ready to serve.


15 Minute Cheesy Rice with Ham & Broccoli
Ingredients

1 pkg. (6 oz.) Smoked Ham, cut into strips
2 cups fresh broccoli florets
1 cup water
1-1/2 cups instant white rice, uncooked
6 oz. VELVEETA Cheese, cut up

Directions

MIX ham, broccoli and water in large skillet. Bring to boil
on medium-high heat; cover. Reduce heat to medium; cook 3 minutes.
ADD rice and VELVEETA; mix well. Cover. Remove from heat.
Let stand 7 minutes.
STIR until VELVEETA is melted.


"So Simple" Cauliflower Mash
Ingredients

8 cups cauliflower florets (about 1 small head)
1/4 cup ranch Dressing
1 green onion, thinly sliced

Directions

BRING water to boil in large saucepan. Add cauliflower;
cook 15 min. or until cauliflower is very tender. Drain
cauliflower; return to saucepan. ADD dressing; mash until
cauliflower is light and fluffy. Sprinkle with onions.


Fruit and Cookie Dream
Ingredients

2 containers (6 oz. each) strawberry yogurt (1-1/2 cups total)
1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
3/4 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
1 cup each: blueberries, raspberries and sliced fresh strawberries
6 OREO Cookies, chopped

Directions

MIX yogurt and dry gelatin mix in medium bowl until well blended.
ADD whipped topping; stir with wire whisk until well blended.
SPOON layers of yogurt mixture, berries and chopped cookies alternately
into each of six dessert dishes. Store leftovers in refrigerator.


Fruity Dessert Shakes

Take 3 cups milk and 1/2 cup softened vanilla ice cream and mix & match your recipe from these options...
Fruit choices
P1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 small banana, cut into chunks
1/2 cup fresh or drained canned pineapple chunks
1 chopped, peeled medium fresh peach or 1/2 cup drained canned peach slices
Jell-O Brand Gelatin options
Peach Flavor
Strawberry Flavor
Lemon Flavor
Raspberry Flavor


Then follow these 3 simple steps:

POUR milk into blender container.
ADD 1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jell-O Brand Gelatin, ice cream and fruit; cover.
BLEND on high speed 30 seconds or until smooth and creamy. Serve
