SSBBW PROFILE
Profiling SSBBWs and their views, thoughts and issues
To help inspire those SSBBWs who haven't yet gotten that they are wonderful, caring, sexy, special people. Someone who is accepting of themselves, who is happy (either alone or with a loving mate), perhaps someone who works or does good things for the community. It doesn't matter who you are or what you do. There is so much negativity on the net towards SSBBWs that we want to show the good side. If you know someone who fits this bill or feel you do and want to get profiled, let us know at info@ssbbw-magazine.com.

This month we are profiling Mary from London, UK
SSBBW Magazine: What is your current weight?
SSBBW: 170kg at the moment (375 lbs)
SSBBW Magazine: What body shape would you say you are?
SSBBW: I'm a big woman.
SSBBW Magazine: Have you always been an SSBBW?
SSBBW: I have been big since I was born. And over the years the weight just kept coming on and on and on.
SSBBW Magazine: Why would you be an inspiration to other SSBBWs?
SSBBW: To show you can be a SSBBW and you can be proud of it.
SSBBW Magazine: What are the joys of being an ssbbw?
SSBBW: I have so many admirers. And believe me I am larger than life.
SSBBW Magazine: What are the drawbacks?
SSBBW: Drawbacks are in everyday life sometimes. When I wanna be more active, but get tired very quickly. And of course when you can’t fit into something (seat, clothes etc.)
SSBBW Magazine: What is it like being an SSBBW in today's society?
SSBBW: I’m from Estonia and I have been coming and going to London for the last 10 years. People in Estonia are very superficial. Over there it is like if you are not stick thin you are not supposed to have a life. So that was one of the reasons why I came to London permanently 4 years ago. Here I am what I am and I finnaly have confidence. So I’m enjoying things as they are. Yes, of course there are people who think big is not right. But who cares what they think. We are all the way we are. People who don’t like it I would say “get a life”.
SSBBW Magazine: How would you like to change society's view of SSBBW?
SSBBW: Be more tolerant. We all come in different shape and sizes.
SSBBW Magazine: What do people/companies serving the public need to do to accommodate ssbbws?
SSBBW: Things are as they are. There are always things to improve, but I haven’t had any specific problems.
SSBBW Magazine: Can you recommend such people/services who do?
SSBBW:[No Answer]
SSBBW Magazine: Do you follow any exercise or healthy eating regimes? If so, what are they?
SSBBW: Don’t follow any special diet. Whenever I can I go swimming (but not often enough).
SSBBW Magazine: If you could wave a magic wand and be 130 lbs, would you?
SSBBW: I would be bit smaller yes. But not that thin. I like my curves.
SSBBW Magazine: Do you have a favorite overweight actor/actress?
SSBBW: I have always liked Ricky Lake, big or small.
SSBBW Magazine: What would you like to say to all the SSBBWs reading this?
SSBBW: Enjoy life. You live only once and make the most of it. Don’t waste it being miserable. What I have noticed is, if you are happy with yourself everybody around you will notice it as well and when somebody says to you that you look beautiful or good that gives you even extra boost and confidence.
SSBBW Magazine: What would you like to say to those just reading this out of curiosity about the SSBBW / FA community?
SSBBW: Big or small, tall or short we are all the same inside.
SSBBW: Mary also says, "Make the most of your life. I used to be very shy and led to be believe I’m not worth a lot, but I am worth a lot.
I didn’t used to be a confident person. I got teased when I was in school, but I guess I was blessed to have thick skin and didn’t let that bother me.
Since I came to London permanently I have seen and felt I can have a life and even enjoy it. We can all look good (it is possible to buy different clothes in every size you need) no matter what the size is.
My everyday job is in the office and that means I do have to look smart and it is possible to do it that way, that you do look sexy and good even in a blazer. I also do like to dress sexy (doesn’t mean I’m flaunting my rolls of flab), especially when going clubbing (big girls paradise is my favorite place to go to).
Biggest confidence boost was when I did a photoshoot for a bbw webpage. When I saw those photos of me I was very surprised that I can look good. Every woman likes being told they are beautiful, sexy, that they are wanted etc., it does boost our confidence little by little. And if a woman is confident and knows it we all can see it."
SSBBW Magazine: Thank you Mary.
